Now Representing Kapital K Boy’s Clothing

Our newest client is Kapital K, a boy’s clothing collection focusing on mix & match, fashion-forward styles at an affordable price point. With an emphasis on cool styles seen in men’s fashion with an active boy’s tastes in mind, Kapital K caters to sizes 12 months to size 8 with wholesale price points ranging from $9 for accessories to $41 for outerwear. An attention to detail sets this collection apart from other boy’s brands, including fur-trimmed hoods, colorblocking, and striped double pockets.

“We are a true collection-based brand that provides functional mix & match clothing for boys,” said designer Spencer Sujjaporamest, a Parsons grad and children’s industry veteran. “Every piece, color, and category in each collection is a result of extensive research and has a reason for being there. We are driven by hip styling, cool graphics, and what is current while keeping a boy’s sensibility in mind.”

Inspired by rock n’ roll, car-racing, and sports, the Kapital K fall/winter ’11 collection features edgy t-shirts, button-downs, vests, pants, jackets, hats, and scarves. Standouts include their suspender/bow tie shirt, colorblocked shiny nylon vest, knit herringbone hooded vest, and Mohawk trapper hat- perfect for the holidays.

For upcoming spring/summer ’12, Kapital K focuses on graphics featuring surfing, monster trucks, varsity sports, and of course rock ‘n roll. Bold, eye-catching graphics including sharks, boxing gloves, and headsets are combined with soft, lightweight fabric for the perfect casual-cool boys look.

Kapital K is sold in several fine retailers and department stores, including Barney’s and Fred Segal’s Ron Robinson. To learn more about Kapital K and view the current collection, visit www.kapital-k.com.

Party With A Purpose: Pippen Lane Throws “Style Your Sole” Event with Philanthropic Brand TOMS

Pippen Lane Children’s Emporium steps into fall with the “Style Your Sole” event showcasing the latest TOMS shoes. The party underscores the store’s commitment to the original One for One company, which gives a pair of new shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased. The event will take place on Saturday, October 8th, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“I’m really looking forward to partnering with TOMS for this important party with a purpose,” said Pippen Lane owner Anna Beth Goodman. “I know the kids will have a lot of fun, and with every sale, the community will enable us to help children who would otherwise go without shoes.”

To prove that philanthropy is fun, Pippen Lane has a full slate of activities in store, including a “Style Your Sole” station where kids can decorate their new shoes. For those who want a personalized look but would rather not get their hands dirty, an artist from YAYA, an organization that teaches life skills and professional development through the creation and study of art, will be on hand to customize purchases free of charge. Kids can also get their faces panted, score fun balloon animals and snack on goodies from La Divina and Sucre. Cajun/Zydeco music from Papillion will also keep the crowd in a festive mood.

Founded in 1998, Pippen Lane is a whimsical emporium that specializes in children’s clothing, footwear, unique toys & gifts, high quality furniture and other items for children of all ages from Europe and beyond. The shop is located at 2929 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70115.
