On the heels of being named “Best of LA” by Los Angeles magazine, Right Bank Babies’ first-ever store, The Right Bank Babies Shoppe, will open its doors on October 15, 2009, at the Hollywood + Highland complex. In a prime location by the Kodak Box Office, the flagship children’s clothing store will feature Right Bank Babies’ trademark reversible pieces inspired by casual LA style with a Parisian flair, along with handpicked accessories including shoes, hair clips, and hats.
“There is no other store in Los Angeles that offers such versatile clothing,” said Ellen Uzarowicz, creator and head designer for Right Bank Babies. “It will have the entire range of Right Bank clothing and will show parents and shoppers how to mix and match and use the reversibles to get the most out of their children’s wardrobe.”
Right Bank Babies was conceived in 2005 after Uzarowicz couldn’t find fun yet functional clothing for her two young daughters, Evie and Harlow. Naming the collection after the fashionable Right Bank of the Seine River in Paris, the collection focuses on reversible styles featuring lush material and graphic textiles to layer, mix and match as suited to the style of the child. Pieces are also designed to grow with your child—dresses become tops and pants become shorts.
The store will be entirely women-owned and operated by The Six Brave Chicks, composed of Right Bank Babies’ staff: Ellen Uzarowicz, Lydia Dorsey, Lisa Evans, Adriana Rosas, Aga Maslowiec-Ostrem, and Nymimi hair accessories designer Ryam Teran.
In addition to selling Right Bank Babies’ bestsellers featured in the pages of Cookie, Parents, and Baby Couture, The Right Bank Babies Shoppe will carry one-of-a-kind pieces that are entirely exclusive to the Shoppe—from silk gauchos with hand-embroidered brocade fabric to reversible skirts in unique fabrics.
Uzarowicz believes the Hollywood + Highland store will attract both local and tourist customers with its family-friendly attractions, including the Disney Soda Fountain and El Capitan Theatre, which plays classic Disney films.
The store will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, and is located on the first floor of the Hollywood + Highland Center at 6801 Hollywood Blvd., unit #117, Hollywood, CA 90028.
