About Right Bank Babies:
“The name Right Bank Babies is based on the Right Bank of the Seine River in Paris, the fashion district. While receiving my MBA and meeting my husband there, I became interested in starting my own business. I started out making high end car seat covers immediately after my first daughter was born in 2004. Much to my delight and surprise, I became pregnant soon after, and had my second daughter in early 2005. Needless to say this created an urgent need for fun, yet functional fashion for children. Hence, Right Bank Babies was born.
The first thing that I created for my daughters was a reversible smock dress like the one I wore when I was little. I was being stopped on the street constantly by people wondering where I purchased my dress because of its versatility and vintage design. Our clothing philosophy is to stick with styles that surpass trends by creating pieces that can be worn alone as a classical look, or layered for a funkier feel. We don’t save the fancy stuff for special occasions- as every day is a special occasion with a baby. Instead, we put the fancy dress over jeans and layer on tee-shirts and sweaters. Children live life with wild abandonment and we feel that their fashion should reflect that.
We are now in over 500 boutiques worldwide and have an amazing team of six women who keep the company growing through laughter, hard work and a great sense of style.

Earnshaw’s interviewed Right Bank Babies’ founder and co-designer Ellen Uzarowicz about the inspiration behind the Fall ’10 Collection.
“The idea for the fall collection started with a pair of miner overalls that we found in a vintage store– they had extra pockets and details that we loved. At that point, I started going through my grandfather’s turn-of-the-century photos for more inspiration. The result is a collection that mixes thermals with cluny cotton lace and small floral prints with lots of plaids, flannels and textures in dark reds, dark navy, light blues, mustard yellow, gray, and ivory,” said Ellen, who co-designs the line with Lydia Dorsey.
